Osa Peninsula

The Osa Peninsula is a remote and ecologically diverse region located in the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is considered one of the most biologically intense places on earth, with over 2.5% of the world's biodiversity concentrated in a relatively small area.

The region is characterized by lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and rugged terrain, which are home to a wide variety of plant and animal species, including jaguars, tapirs, scarlet macaws, and howler monkeys. The Corcovado National Park, which covers a significant portion of the Osa Peninsula, is one of the most biodiverse areas in the world.

The Osa Peninsula is also an important conservation area, with several eco-lodges and conservation projects dedicated to preserving the region's natural resources and promoting sustainable tourism. Activities in the area include hiking, birdwatching, surfing, kayaking, and whale watching.

Despite its remote location, the Osa Peninsula has become increasingly popular among nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience.
